Its panel of judges comprises over 200 Michelin-starred chefs, food tasters, nutritionists, and culinary experts from diverse countries and regions—possessing what are widely regarded as the “most discerning palates” in the world. The evaluation process strictly adheres to a blind-testing methodology and employs an objective approach based on five international hedonic sensory analysis criteria, conducting professional assessments across five dimensions: first impression, visual appeal, aroma, taste, and aftertaste. With its star-studded team of expert judges and rigorous, impartial, and professional evaluation standards, the International Taste Awards enjoys unparalleled authority and is often referred to as the “Oscars” of the global food industry.

Gu Yan’s signature marbled beef—carefully selected, premium-quality Australian-imported, prime-cut beef that’s never blended or glued together. It features large cuts with a perfect 30% fat to 70% lean ratio, delivering a tender, smooth, and firm texture. Every bite is bursting with the satisfying aroma and flavor of authentic beef.

Gu Yan’s signature marbled beef is made exclusively from medium-sized, high-yellow onions with a sweetness level exceeding 7%. These onions have a sweetness range of approximately 6-8% (while peaches and pears typically have a sweetness level of around 7-9%). They’re exceptionally juicy, and their fresh, sweet flavor imparts an extra layer of complexity to the beef.

Gu Yan’s signature braised beef features an authentic Chinese-style sauce flavor—rich and aromatic. It boasts the sweet, savory taste of onions combined with the fresh, fragrant aroma of beef, making it the perfect accompaniment to steamed rice or noodles.
